A simple guide on how to fit your Gameboy Macro Lens on a Nintendo DS Lite version of a Gameboy macro build.
What you’ll need:
- Gameboy Macro Lens
- Nintendo DS Lite (MODEL NO.: USG-001)
- 2mm Neoprene rubber adhesive strip
Begin by
completely separating the digitizer from the LCD, Now take neoprene rubber & cut approx 69mm (or width of LCD). After which cut this piece straight down the middle to be left with two pieces 69mm x 5mm. These are your top and bottom pads

Stick the
top pad down exactly in line with the top bezel of the LCD. To gauge a reference for the bottom pad angle the LCD and you will see a black border, this is where you run your pad along the very top edge since the LCD starts within this border.

First cut
a strip to the length of 55mm, this will allow for extra. Now measure & cut two 3mm strips from your original cut, now you have two 55mm x 3mm pads. Apply pads along the edge of the LCD as a reference, when you get to the end cut the excess

Once your
system is back together, you can drop in the lens, be sure to make sure everything is dust free. I like to drop the lens in first so it’s preassembled for later.

Always take care when performing any modifications.
